Anyone with MORE THAN?

Featured Replies

Right, on the insurance certificate it says: that my car is not modifyed for perfomance, speed or acceleration purposes. This is fine as I only have rims and coilies on it. But when I rang them to ask if i need to declare the rims and collies they were like err it doesn't really matter but you can if you want? I dont understand? is anyone with MORE THAN and declaring mods or not delcaring mods? do i need to delcare mods or not?

From what i've been told, they wouldnt cover coilovers.

They insure cosmetic modifications, but nothing that improves: acceleration, top speed or handling.

sounds like they are covering your car, but would only replace with standard parts.

you want to check this and be 100% clear. infact, i would even go so far as to record your conversation and get names/dates/times when you speak to someone. Its easily done on any mobile phone and covers you if you have a bump and they get a bit funny....

hi guys just to let you know i rang More Than twice today and they said they DONT cover modification. which is stupid because they said to me be before i took out my policy that they would and I would just need to ring up and declare them. I didn't bother arguing as they were all India call center lines and i wasn't going to waste ma time trying to explain to them what coilovers are.

after getting some quotes around I'm looking at Admiral who have given me a ok price with all my mods covered so ill go with that. i haven't rang Adrian Flux as there lines aint open on sunday, which is my only day off as i work 6 days a week! well annoying

I'm with MoreThan, no mods declared because there was no option to declare them when I insured with them.

Hiya,

Highway is one of our biggest underwriters we as a company use.

Highway have a variety of schemes with ourselves covering most vehicles, including modified cars, japanese imports etc.

Hope this helps!

Dan

a lot of Brentacres insurance is underwritten by highway too.
