Bought my first car a couple of months ago, had been looking around on autotrader for Fiat Punto's then stumbled across this Polo Coupe which was a good bargain.

Only done a few little things to it so bare with me with progress as i'm pretty skint atm haha.

Originally when i got it -

Then i bought some BBS VW GTI 15" wheels from a friend for £90 with tyres -

Decided to spray the wheels, remove side rubbing strips, give it a nice clean and treat it to some bumper/wheel shine haha.

Stuff to come -

Changing the interior clock lighting

Fitting a new stainless steel backbox.

Any feedback appreciated and some ideas too.

it needs to be decked dude but with 15s i think your gonna have some serious scrubbing problems... other than that looks clean

Yeah i want to lower it but I realised I would have some scrubbing problems, what would be a way round this?

I heard if you fit g40 shocks they are alot harder then the standard polo shocks so I would be able to fit shorter springs to them without having to shave the arches?

My old mk3 was on 15" BBS RA's and with 165/50/15 tyres you can get away with a healthy drop mate :)

no worries mate, when it´s built in 1993 it is flashred.my old 1990 mk2 is tornadored...that´s why i have asked :)

Personally i would go for a 60/40 Phil J kit .

I wouldnt advise using standard shocks with even as little a drop as 40mm springs . I found my old car on the 15" whels jumped around alot on bumps in the road.

I would advise 165/50/15 Bridgestone potenza tyres also :)

Test booked for November so L plates off soon! haha...

Well decided I liked these old school Wolfrace's and there 14's so they fit better and when i have the cash in the attic to lower it then it won't be so much of a david hasselhoff haha.. I really want some wellers now though :(

looking good mate, like the wolfrace's but liked the BBS better. One thing that i think would make it alot better is if you were to remove the bumpers and spray them with matte black or satin, makes it look so much better. i would probably also get rid of the red stripes , never really like them to be honest, makes it look abit tacky IMO. Like the back box and that tho!

Yeah i liked the BBS just weren't that practical as it felt like i was driving a tank... Yeah the bumpers do need spraying just another job on my to do list and the red stripes were just a cheapy! Cheers for the good advice matey :)

Oh and at the OP, car's looking nice, very clean ! When you come to getting some more alloys you might wanna have a look at some 5 spoke compomotives in black, would look the nutz imo :).
