I have a mk7 polo 1.4 and it sounds weedy (all oem stuff) any advice on makeing it sound better for under £100??

Air filter, is a common one

Sorry for my ignorance, but would that have any other effects? Like increase of fuel consumption? Just wonderd. Would somthing like this be what I'm looking for? found this on ebay

panel filter wont do shit.

replace the airbox or exhaust system if you want noise.

induction kit matey, gives it a little beefier sound, in most cases will also increase fuel consumption every so slightly. Or secondly as mentioned above, could shop round for a 2nd hand aftermarket exhaust system on ebay, or possibly maybe one going on here or e38 matey. But short of that matey not much else you can do. This exhaust system will also see an increase in fuel consumption but also a noticeable difference in throttle response, especially at mid to high revs.
