Well after selling the polo :(

the hunt for new car was on looked at the possibilty of Lupo GTI - Polo GTI even looked at going older getting a mint mrk 2

then i stummbled across Ibiza Cupra's i was sold!! 1.8T alll the way

so saturday me and a good friend took the 2h drive to norwich to pick up this litte bueaty!!

Little over 50k on the clock (just had cambelt waterpump and major service!!)

all the cupra extras half leathers etc...

2 owers from new! plus Full seat service history

I'm Chuffed to say the least!! It feels like a ROCKET compared to my 1.4 8v polo

Plans...

Coilover (already ordered )

Wheels - Not sure yet looking at Oz turbo's or something by image!! (want 15" so can get looooooow )

then end of the year on to Powaaaa!!! :)

i'd be happy with 200Bhp this time next year

have you ever taken a seat apart? all the parts are labeled VAG, ibizas are mk4 polos with mk2 golf chassis rails mk3 golf running gear all stuck together.

yes your paying for the badge, but underneith they are pretty much the same but for a cheaper price

mk2 ibizas even have a bloody polo interior! they also share engines in alot of the range, the cordobas have a polo saloon chassis, even the same code

this is true...it is VAG i had a mk2 ibiza, layout was EXACTLY THE SAME! other than the body shape lol

Some people are idiots. These are mainly built from the parts bin from mk2/3/4 golf and 6n/6n2 polo to name a few

I think I'm going to get one of these next, my 16" RS's will go nice on there

the built quality is pretty good!! i was under the impression seat would be inferior but coomparing it to my mates A3 1.8T (Y-Plate) its not much behind it tbh!!

either way was cheaper/better looking that the golf plus see less of these and i get R32 Blue mmmmmm :)

It's not just the saloons, all Polos (and Lupos?) have been made at the SEAT factory for a good long while.

even late mk2 polo onwards are made in spain

not going for serious power i'd be happy with 200bhp esp as only running ko3 dont wanna go blowing up turbo's other wise bye bye exspensive wheels like i said been driving a 1.4 8v so this is amazingly quick! be going for 'Low & Fast'

I hate to be pedantic (could well be a lie right there ) but from reading that, it would seem that you think VAG is Volkswagen Audi Group???? is that right?

I like them Ibizas, my uncs got the 1.6 8v sport, only has 100bhp but still feels great

Dont lower it too much, keep it so you can still enjoy corners :-D

There 156bhp or 160bhp depending on which website you wanna belive lol!! the Cupra R 's came with 180bhp but only 75 of them ever hit these shores so they hold there value very well (if you can find one)

so for a £300 remap I've saved myself £1.700

Cant take these low low but cos of side skirts etc they give the look of being low

Plus I'm going for VERY good coilovers :)

Good choice i think, the 1.8T is great imo.
