hey dudes, I'm currently running 13" starmags on my olop, and have now decided to sack off my lowering springs and get some coils. but back to my question, how low do i need to go to get her to look right? all pic an advice welcome. cheers

all the way down matey, probably 120mm. I'm lowered around 100mm on 14"s and just about pulls that off, so your looking a good 20mm more for 13's matey. But got to say seen some 6n's and 6n2's that look the dogs danglys on 13's

am i going to be too low tho?? as in undrivable? i know if you aiant rubbin u aint dubbin an all that but....

anyone with piccys please?

umm well youl want to avoid speedbumps and pot holes like the plague, but no not undriveable, just have to be sensible and remember just how low you are. I'm 100mm down and i sometimes get some scrappage on speedbumps, not alot just a little, so i can imagine another 10 - 20mm is going to hurt, as said there are people on here cruising round that low so cant se why not, will have a search on here for some pics for you matey

If youre worried about the car being undriveable, then why did you buy 13s for a mk4?

If you want 'the look' and also have 13s then yes, the car will practically be sitting on the floor, its not for someone who cares about their underside banging the floor quite often

To give you a bit of quidence (mk4 polo wont be too different in terms of height) heres my mk2 golf with 13s

It scrapped and sparked on normal roads if there was a little dip, speed bumps were - slow as possible, scrape of the splitter followed by scrape of the back box, then crunch as the subframe/wishbones met the bump and then the floor near the rear of the car. Then the same, but in reverse order as you went down the bump. The ones that are 'sleeping policemen' you have to hit them at like 5 mph and clench hahaha its so you dont get beached, you want momentum to grind the car over it

If the thought of that scares you, then sell the wheels :-)

I'm all the way down on 14s, tbh, its painful, but I'm used to it now and dont notice it

but i may well be going on 13s soon, watch this space

I still stand by 13s being to small for a 6N. Loads of arch gap there, 14s or 15s probably would have filled it and gave you a bit of extra ground clearance so it would be a bit more practical.

nuh, you just need to be lower.

i agree with heartagram, the arch gap is a little too big :(

your gunna have to drop it a bit more i think to get a stance as spot on as leigh ps old one

Mr Dillworths 6n, one of the only 6n's on 13's that works imo
