Not much different yet but I purchased some mk1 rear coilovers. Put them on but leveled them up with the fronts which is at 60mm atm. Dont wanna be reverse raking

I'm looking for either some 70mm(which i'd add -10mm top mounts) or 80mm springs&shocks kit.. altho i have a philJ kit on now so could i jst purchase the springs or would i need a whole new kit?

anyway ..how it sits atm

H.E.L.P - does anyone have any ideas or how to tint the headlights and indicators?

i know some people sell tinted headlights which i would probably end up buying but what abowt the indicators...

what size tyres you running?

Dont look all that bad on 13's though tbf.

I always find 13's with low pro tires look daft and way too small.

As for tinting. There are several ways of going about it

Most obv is tinting spray. Simply rub the lights down with very fine sand paper then spray it on. the more coats the darker (and more illegal) it gets.

Then for the headlights you can open them up (with the help from an oven) and either use tinting film on the inside orr paint some of the reflector bit black. Then buy some good sealant and seal them back up.

Indicators you can spray them outside or even inside.

Did you get the fogs sorted?

Take the headlamps out, remove the brackets, bulbs and bulb holders.

Set your fan oven to 180, put the lamps in for 5-7 mins, remove with oven gloves, then prise the glass away from the lense.

Mask off the aera you want to spray, sand down, spray (heat proof paint) and seal up with sealant :)

yes the bracket you had on the fog already was aluminium and i've been told its quite differcult to weld the stuff. my mates got them atm so i jst left them in his hands, I'm sure he will make another bracket, he is abit of a metal magician

Nahh, you wouldn't need to tint the fogs I don't think! Although it could look rather good.

Don't tint the fogs black... if you are thinking of tinting, tint them yellow

some 175/60/13 they are balloooooooons

Cheers may rock some 175/55/13 just as any thing bigger will rub on my square lol

165/65/13 are the correct size tyres for the GT Coupe on 5.5J Wheels. 175/60/13's are Stock G40 size from what I recall. Both are same chassis type so would look the same on any coupe!

I reckon you should get hold of 165/65's... they're pretty underrated, or go for a set of 14" RA's with suitable tyres.

Thats a nice straight black GT.

I think tinted headlights would look pretty cool on it. I did them on my black 6n, think it makes the car look much more aggressive.

Yes, to convert to coilies will set you back around £500, unless you, or someone you know is competent with a welder! for 7 and 8's with a low profile you could run 175/50/13 or 195/45/13 (both will be stretched!)

Took my headlights off, split them and blackened the side reflector bits. and also tinted the exterior of my indicators, BUT I'm not so sure i like the outcome! also took my bonnet bra off, i personally think it looks better without the bra. When i get my bonnet and roof re-sprayed ill consider buying a proper one lol

also purchased a few stupid little stickers lol... "down and out" polo coupe (i know my polo isnt down and out.. YET ) WheelWhores.com heart, gunna get some black tape and put a piece over the wheel part haha so its just whores in a heart :p Charlie Brown and Pedo Bear!!

Had a few problems with it lately :( its running abit funny, cuts out on me and sometimes it doesnt start straight away takes a few attempts, and idling dodgy.. Checked plugs and leads, someone mensioned that it might be something to do with the Vac Pipes/Pump I got my mechanic friend to have a look.. isnt it funny that everything seems to work fine when you have a mechanic but you cut out and break down in the middle of town when your by yourself and everyones at work

Imo the best way to do the indicators is to get a set of clear ones then spray inside them lightly with some matte black paint. Give its a light dusting inside without fully painting them. Just they look a bit dark other wise imo.

Good effort though..... for a girl :p

i had an idea of going yellow next time. when i get my roof and steels purple :)
