TBH I think the arches are overkill, why do you need such wide arches on a polo saloon?

edit: Car looks very clean :)

I like to drive my car properly and hard at times , I had major poke on the front with the 7" ET-7 Alleycats and i wanted my car to be alittle diffrent the wheels used to rub like a fucker being down 95mm on the front which now isnt enougth  . I personally like them although i believe from what a few people on here are saying there a love hate thing . Everyone who has seen the car in person has done nothing but compliment .

At the end of the day i am more than happy with them and once the car is stanced up finnished on the exteria then the inside has had its retrim it will have a mean engine to match its mean looks oh and some spacers for the front and 8"s for the rear of course  . 8-)

cant wait to see what it will look like with stance sorted as at the min it looks like you didnt need them arches for them wheels

i really like the rear wheel archs most....lover how the wheel isnt all the way out...reminds me of the old campers.....cant find a pic but the wheels were about 2/3 inches inside the bodyshell, looked awsome!

Saloon looks awesome stevie. Between u and pete... i now want a saloon! lol

Charlie

At the end of the day Charlie i would like to see you keep up with it in either of your cars around the twisties my dad and i have set the suspension up perfectly and its bloody good to drive lifts the rear wheel around tight bends ..

The engine size yes is pathetic but iff driven properly with corect gear choice can be driven hard .. My mate in his Saxo Vts couldnt pull away from me driving around the countryside lanes down my end for shit  Its about as quick as the MGF hillclimb car until you hit a long straight :)

I enjoy driving it and can throw it into a corner and it grips like a fucker and dsnt scrub for shit .. :)

Boomzor

Got a Gt engine in the pipeline for silly cheap money once I've sorted finances out . match that with a bigger bottomend and i should see 90Bhp which will make it nippy but not fast .

residentmelon

Cheers dude i appreciate the comment mate i love the car now makes me smile everytime i see it and everytime somebody comments me when i park it up :)

Blue Mk3

You should get one there arnt enougth about and they do pimp hard !

captin_urbis

1L's take shit loads of stick 30 in 1st 50 in 2nd 80 in 3rd all the way to indicated 115 in 5th but more like a ton in real speed

Stupotboy

Arched are a love or hate thing really .. I do like to keep the car clean .. Working as a paint corrector at the mo aswell so I've learnt a thing or two :)

Quicksilver_Jake

I too cannot wait to get the stance sorted should go down on the front either this weekend or next and my 8"s for the rear will have to wait a lil while . Next year will be when it is coming near completion

Jonny Mcc

Mate you Mk3 looks hard as nails i loved it at inters dude

lol

i like them arches reminds me of a 80's rally car

not really a fan of the shape of them tbh... but good to see you've got the love for it.

i love this, phwoaarr,

I'm not bein funny but my GT is 96 brake love, not forgetting the torque a scrick cam gives. Don't need to say anymore, the people laughing says it all.

And 115 indicated speed on 175/50/13s is not going to be a ton f.y.i

I'm not going to comment on the arches for fear of being seen as 'victimising' you.

We shall leave it at that then :) Power is not everything the driver makes a hell of a diffrence

Regarding the ton the tom tom said so .. I'm not particually botherd about top speed though you can nevr use it .. as you said its only a 1.0l .. for now :)

My mate in his Saxo Vts couldnt pull away from me driving around the countryside lanes down my end for shit

haha, your mate is a spoon. in terms of performance a VTS is superior in every way to a lowered 1043cc saloon with monster arches.

i like what you have done with the bodywork but claims like that are always going to get you questioned, everyone on here has driven or been in a 1litre, they arent in the same league as a 1.6 16v with 3x the power, the fact he couldnt leave you is more down to the point that you are on public roads, he doesnt know whats coming, you can see his braking points and where you can cut corners, no point trying to make a comparison on the road.

I see your point there mate i do and correct a vts should definatly be the quicker car .. The suspension isnt just lowerd the oil weight has been changed effecting the damping . by no means is a polo ever going to be a better car than a saxo vts .. maybee a subframe and G40 lump and we might be talking game but for me thats not going to happen for a long time iff ever

What do you class as setting the suspension up perfectly.... Theres only so much you can do on philj shocks and springs and std suspension setups!

I love the way you make yourself out to be a top notch ken block wannabe

To be fair dude i know almost fuck all although i am now learning alot fast which is good .. My dad has raced cars in sprints and hillclimbs for years ranging from spaced framed MG midget's standard MG Midget's Sprite's and now he has 2 MGF's he understands everything about cars to a fanominal degree ..
