Not posted a pic of the Derby in a while, so I thought i'd stick a few up. Some of you may remember this from the Polo show last year. Well since then, I've ripped out the Polo GT interior and put Corrado seats in the front with MK2 classic rears and had the lot trimmed up in cream leather.

Few other detail changes - mainly more chrome plate (check my ARB!) but i'll shut up and show the pics...

It was love at first sight @ polo show! The boot makes me very... um aroused! Proper attention to detail. The anti-Roll bar is rude! Chrome whoring is so right on a mk1! How much did the plating set you back? (if you don't mind me asking?!) For my pushbike frame twas fifty notes..

Now you also have the dream seat combination, in cream leather, which is exactly waht I wanted to do with mine. Sweeeeet!

P.S. Where did you get them re-trimmed, and for how much?

@ RandomBadger - I use a local platers in Nuneaton, think i've done about £650 with them by now. but there again, i've had a lot of stuff plated and there's some more to follow! (Nice bike BTW, looks stunning)

@Donnyburger - I phoned six different retrimmers and the best deal by a mile was with MJ Interiors in Bradford. It was into four figures!

@ Polomon - I'm not anti-scene, but the current scene trends wouldn't suit this car (pink BBS for example)

Always loved this as you know and i was plesently suprised to see your still moving the car forward .. Iff possible in some peoples eyes ..

It really will be a show stopper once complete possibly the best UK Mk1 Saloon ..

I actually really like the Mk2 Calssic rear's now they are retrimmed in leather i cut mine out and I'm fitting corrado rears onto a frame i will be building .. Never thaught the Mk2 Classic rear bench could actually look that good

There are some ubeliveble piccy's of the car nocking about on Edition38 in the Show and Meets section form GTI International . All these people with there flash cameras

hahaha i didnt mean it like that, i was meaning that when things change in the scene styles of cars e.t.c you wont need to change a thing on your car as its perfect asis and doesent need to be fitted with smoothed grilles and the like

It's a good point, definately know where you are coming from regarding the scene styling of the moment.

Good man! I've spent a fair penny with prestige electro plating, yorkshire. It gets compulsive! (And cheers man, a bit off topic! )

Sorry I didn't catch you at Inters, wanted see your loon after all the work it's had too. Plus i'll be missing BVF this year as i'm working.

Those mk2 classic rears sit a treat in the mk1 shell, the little head rests work wonders on the spartan interior.

I don't go on Edition 38 much, be interested to see what the pics look like.
