1.3 genesis injection system help

Featured Replies

hi, i've just bought a 1.3 mark3 polo genesis, its a single point injection system. i'm looking at putting either the mark3 golf or the passat spi induction pipe on the injector/throttle body (the top basically). now, i've taken apart the old pancake system and inside it is a sensor which two pipes cross through, one goes to the back of the throttle body and the other goes to a temperature sensor looking thing on the intake pipe.

my question is, do i really need these parts? or is there a way around them?

any help will be greatly appreciated as i dont want to muck up a decent engine.

cheers matt

That sounds like the warm air feed selector. You don't strictly need it on the SPI.

Disconnect and block off!
