will a 1.4 gearbox go in a 1.6 6n polo?

I've been looking for a 1.6 gearbox for my 1.6 6n polo but there quite rare. would i be able to fit a 1.4 gearbox instead?

just get you are box recond , bin askin about and found best , not cheepest but best was 245 for uprated cogs and all rivits etc driled out and new put in ,
