2001 X-Reg Polo GTi with Heated Black Leather

Featured Replies

Make: Volkswagen

Model: Polo GTi

Year/Reg: 2001 X-Reg

Mileage: 44,500 on Engine

MOT: December 2009

Tax: December 2009

Good points:

Received a 32k mile engine in September 2007 with warranty at cost of £1500, which included brand new ignition leads, spark plugs, etc. Since then extremely well upkept, Servicing (Oil/Filters) at 37k (23rd April 2008), 41k (10th October 2007) and latest on 28th April 2009 at 43.5k. Next service (if on every 6 months basis) is not due until November, on a yearly basis April 2010.

Gearbox was replaced 15k miles ago by previous owner on 16th March 2007 at cost of £700. Car received a brand new Valeo Clutch in November 2007.

Brand new A/C compressor fitted in October 2007, completely purged and cleaned and regassed at cost of £150, so that it's actually better working that my parent's 2 year-old Passat.

G60 4x100 280mm Brake Upgrade Conversion fitted in Summer 2008 to improve braking power, with Mintex Extreme Front Brake Pads. Recent MOT noted that rear pads were wearing thin, so they were replaced in December 2008.

Car also has a BMC CDA induction kit, which was cleaned and oiled during every service.

Last year the car had a brand new Battery fitted, which came with a 3 year warranty (Receipt Included)

The car received Autoglym LifeShine treatment when I purchased the car in June 2007. The bodywork modifications include;

Smoothed front and rear bumpers, Anthracite Mirror Caps, Enfig S2000 Aerial, Red piping around the GTi Grille, colour coded GTi Splitter, colour coded rear VW badge, Black painted B-Pillars, Aero Wipers, Front VW Black Badge, Headlight Protectors

Interior: OEM VW Black Leather Heated Interior, Wolfsburg Floor Mats, Audi TT Pedals, Black VW Tax disc holder, Kamei Door Sills (Imported from Germany)

The In-Car Entertainement currently consists of Alpine Top of the Range headunit with Ipod Connectivity, Alpine Speakers and Amplifier to power the speakers. A custom-fabricated subwoofer and box (OZ Audio Matrix Elite) and Amplifier (Crossfire), were imported from the USA as they are not available for purchase in this country. They can be included at extra negotiable cost.

Car was featured in UK-Polos Calendar (August 2009)

I have kept a lot of the receipts/tax discs/bills. Spare parts include original GTi Airbox, Original GTI Front Brake Carriers & Almost Brand New Discs. Brand New Rear Discs.

Bad points: As car was used on motorway journeys to and from Durham/London, the front bumper has a few small stone chips. Small scratch on driver door.

Location: London

Cheers Jason. It was really weird seeing the car go, feels odd to know I won't be able to drive it again.

gotta move on tho haven't you i suppose, and u can only go so far !

mine will be in here soon .....

Wow mate what a car very pleased with the purchase! Put a big smile on my face on the drive back! Don't worry it's in loving hands I wouldn't pay that amount to trash it I would brought a rotter off fleabay. keep your eyes peeled for a new progress thread on it most of the work carried out already will remain intact just a few lil changes here and there I suppose just them personal touchs to finish it.

Max if I'm at the shows and your there u can have a spin no probs
