How to check gearbox oil level on mk3 GT

Featured Replies

I have a little oil leak from my gear selector shaft, I have the parts to fix it but want to do some other bits at the same time and haven't got round to it... anyway, the gearbox seem to be feeling a little notchy so I'm thinking the oil is low but I don't know how much by. Is there a way to tell when it's full so I can top it up to that level? I'll get the seal changed soon but i'd rather not kill the gearbox in the mean time..

cheers!

beauty, got one of those and topped it up this aft. must have taken over half a litre!

 I use an old bleach bottle with a length of pipe wedged over the jet spout (bit that sticks out to get under the toilet rim).
