I was woundering if clubpolo would put a detailing catagory on the forum, I don't do detailing myself but I like to see what people have done to there polos, and how so we can all learn more about it?

There isn't even a dedicated one just for ICE, that's shared with the car's electrical system and everything else you'd wanna plug into it. And rightly so.

I recon detailing is bodywork. And there's a section for that already.

if you want to detail your car, use detailing world.

As Rich says. Or if you want to post pics of detailing you've done put it in the pic gallery or if you want advice put it in the bodywork section

Ok some mixed thoughts here, its not just washing your car isit? its more then that, although "detailing" is a bit OCD , yet people put a shit loads of work into it and most of them look amzing

I still think it should have a catagory, I don't want to have to sign up to loads of differnt forums to fine what I want , when it can easly be put on here.

Not my sort of thing, but seems like a good idea to have a separate section to pull it away from the heavier bodywork stuff. I'll let the poll run a week then put the outcome to the staff.

But I don't think an actual whole new section is needed. As it is body work.. paint restoration, paint is body work!

Check out Volks World,for example. There's a Beetle in there with chrome plated brake discs - not a scratch on them. How does he winch/push it on trailers when he's that anal? How about sticking to cars that actually run? Seriously,there are sites for such people and it aint here.

Chrome brake disks is a bit anal, but some people take pride in detailing their cars and making them look as good as possible, it's a hobby, doesnt mean for a second that they dont have a life....

Detailing you are car and owning a trailer queen are completely different things

but detailing has nothing to do with polos really, unlike body work wheels and tyres etc so surely its better to just use detailing world?

My car's a cheap Polo that's daily driven, hard, and i spend hours detailing it and looking after it, and i asure you, i have no trouble getting birds.

I try to take care with my car, there is a line between taking care and being too ocd, i think its a good idea as people who want to know what are the best products to use for detailing and its a common question also people like to see the end result using certain products and as the photo gallery is constantly filled with detailing pics i think it needs its own sub forum to seperate it from the more not so every day things people may have done to their cars.
