was that aimed at me? and do yu mean it in a good way or a bad way

if so it was a bodyshop local to me. place called auto visulas.. done work on a good 5 or 6 of my mates cars :) they do good

hahah he genuinely is a pretty small lad

well he is like 5ft5 or so :) he's the man with the mechanical know-how of the group and he gets to keep the garage open late nights for some work its ace!

loks good, but think u should have gotten a 3door, the 5 door looks a bit odd lol

the way i look at it is no one ever does 5 doors...

it wasnt something that affected my choice :) given the oppertunity of an identical 5dr vs a 3dr (meaning price/miles etc etc) at the time i probably would have gone for the 3 door but 3 doors seemed to be deaer :) and i was poor at the time :p stretched all i could to afford this one so

thanks dude :) i think the wheels need re-polished/painted but it will cost a fair bit and its money i would rather spend on some tartan interior or something else like that :)

the centre caps are actually AMG badges :) have mercedes ones too but they dont look as good :) need to find 2 piece mercedes caps :)

thanks :) thinking of changing the front grille around tonight so is back to standard :) great thing about have many options :p I'm going to be cutting the grille up shortly so its 3 pieces :) should make it fit better and look more "flowy" and then it needs re-painted

t'other night i saw a centre console for sells... guy had 3 of them. e-mailed and asked if the cup holder came with it (the sole reason i bought the full whack) and he said yep comes as console and cup holder... so i purchased said item for £20 :)

gets home today to find the stuff had been delivered to my neighbour so i picks it up and chucks it on my bed whilst i do some other crap :)

finally got round to opening it and found that not only did it have the sliding lid cup holder and centre console but also a non smoking ashtray with 12v plug (been looking for one for quite a while but hard as hell to find), a 6 speed gear knob with chrome trim surround (bidded on a good 7 or 8 on ebay but they always go for £30++) a winter pack button and a spare ESP button

so all in a big bonus getting over £125 worth of stuff for £20

how ti arrived:

after i salvaged everything off it and cleaned it all up

expect most of it to be fitted tomorow night even though the cup holder is apparently a horror to fit!

the alfa romeo badge is pretty similar :) a few have mistook them for alfa caps so its all good :p

the 2 piece ones just came on newer mercs... they have (normally) a chrome pointed star and a silver or black backing bit :) they just held together with a couple bits of melted plastic on the back :)

they come up on ebay a fair bit but i dont want to spend like £25 on a set of centre caps....

just some fitted pictures of above pieces! i trimmed the gear surround in black vinyl before i installed it to tie it in with the rest of the interior

also installed these :) complete OEM factory install of footwell lighting just need to get them turned on via vag com

another update:

anyways not proper updateage as such but got some more parts

couple little bits on their way. glove box should be here soon so will get that fitted (need to check color first...)think i may have bought a black one instead of anthractie:eh: we shall see...

just bought a bottle opener to put in the cup holder too... cant remember what else i bought on ebay thats coming but it was uber cheap fiddly stuff :)

and thanks to the wonderful andrew i got these today

hopefully get them stripped down, take out the springs, spring seats/nuts whatever they are called and dust covers and get them swapped into the front of my car :) hopefully do that at some point next week while i'm off :) have recieved permissions to do it up the unit :thumbup:

also swapped over the front grille today to the standard jobbie... must say it looks quite nae bad :)

amongst my hectic day today i was fannying about and took this :p

seen them do it in the magazines and wondered if my camera would be able to up to the challenge of fitting everything in :p ... alas it does :)

unfortunately new springs in old coils didnt work so going to pick up some FK highsport fronts tonight with shortened droplinks!

trial fitted some of my mates wheels. 17" anterra 123's:

BBS RF's with 1" lips:

also put on some white 9" RS's and they looked amazing! but they were 5x114 and the wobbly bolts didnt hold all that well so didnt get pics!

fitted new glove box with trim piece:

also fitted new mirror caps and joey mod'd my spare indicators (first try and didnt do it well so going to do my new ones better )

and lastly picked up some mk4 golf bump strips to paint up!

Looking awesome! I paid £13k to go to UNO and I left within 4 months. So good choice. More pics?

had the choice between a job with a 90% chance of a career and Uni so the job was for me :)

i have hundreds of pictures :p none of them are that recent due to poop scottish summers :) will get a few more put up laters though

well after last failed attempt at lowness i bought a set of front FK's and let me say they worked

really happy with how it sits now well at the front anyways just need the back down another inch or so
