My first car - 1.0L MK3 Polo Coupe

Featured Replies

Hi i'm Jamie, I'm 17 next week and I've got a Capri Green 1.0L MK3 Polo Coupe that I've had about a month. I thought some of you might want to see some pics of it so here's a few fairly recent ones I've taken of it, i hope you like it:

Me and my dad have done all of the work on it and so far we've fitted:

13" BBS RAs

G40 arch trims

G40 front and back seats

Clear front indicators

Red piping on the bumpers

Blaupunkt CD player

Black VW badges

Metal window winders

Sparco gear knob

Dice valve caps

I've also ordered a PhilJ 60/40 spring and shock kit because it look like a 4X4 at the moment

I know some people might think it looks too much like a G40 but i like and that's all that matters :-D

I'd like to know what people think and if they have any suggestions?

Thanks for all of the comments :-D

I'll look out for some late spec rear lights and clear side repeaters.

lookin' nicee, doesnt make any difference if it looks like a G40 aslong as you dont put a G40 badge on it ;) i've had people ask whether mine's a GT and it's a 1L aswell

I like!

Actually had to look up and read the title again as I thought it was a G when i saw the seats then the arches then the wheels

This actually can be called a G40 lookalike. unlike some of those people that call theres a G40 lookalike and have some red tape on there bumpers

all you need now is the G40 engine :p

what window winders have u got? where u get them from?

If i could put a G40 engine in it then i would but i don't think the insurers would like it

I'm not sure what make the window winders are but i got them from a stall at GTI International. I know that doesn't help much but i really can't remember the name of the stall. I'll ask some of my mates that went aswell to see if they know and if they do i'll send you a message

I think they were about £7.00 and they were pretty easy to fit. They also seem to work better than the old ones and they obviously look better than the old ones aswell

looks good dude,i like the oem-stlye...

That looks really really smart. Subtle bit of a lowering and it would be near enough perfect. The colour sets it off so well. Bet it looks great after a good polish on a sunny day!
