Haha probably, but this will be worth the wait. It's my project so it's gonna be stretching into early next year :) An i got two very experienced engine builders/ tuners looking over my shoulder so it's gotta be done by the book/ to a very high standard.

An yeah Rob is right, if i don't do this ill fail my degree, so somehow i think its gonna happen.

my mk2 coupe s it loooking alot better now...runnign sweet aswell..had thr welding done and painted and all the dents removed...apart from one in the pass rear which is to far gone..:(

Just been making bits for the engine, made the valve actuator for flow bench testing etc, sourcing all the last few parts before rebuild.

Car still needs welding and various other bits so probably gonna scrap it and get a new shell just weighing up options really; wheels/ suspension will be going after christmas for something more suitable/ purposeful.

What power you hoping for then jon? I don't mind giving you a hand welding it up if thats easier than re-shelling.

How bad is the shell? Better the devil you know etc.

Two fairly big holes in the floor (they're pretty much at the front two jacking points), a leak on the driver's side footwell even after i tackled the battery tray! broken exhaust hanger, dents in the sills, big patch of filler around the petrol filler flap; I'm just not happy with it!

I'd be quite happy just getting a solid 1 litre beater and driving it around standard till the AEE's ready to go in.

An the steels... who knows, i'll think about that when it comes to it though i'd rather do a deal on a set of 14" BBS or similar so i'm not without wheels :)

an urmm power wise? I'd be very happy with 120bhp... but this is gonna be my first time doing some mapping... so I'm not expecting that straight away

PS if anyone wants to swap my wheels for a car with no holes in it... then pm me haha.

Yeah thats the sort of thing I'm after! haha. Just 14" BBS with good tyres. I dont wanna be driving a car which is low as feck with no grip an no handling with 100bhp+, is a recipe for disaster
