What I was gonna say dude was if your going to use a mk3 dash, be best to use the doorcards to match. I'm sure I looked at the compatability before and came to the conclusion the doorcards would be needed to make it look right.

Crazy looking back the 4-5 years iv had my mk2 coupe S, the price difference. I paid 122 quid for mine.. a bit of a dog but the interiors probably worth that now!

John shilling where have you gone where is your facebook account and why haven't you responded to my text?

lol, facebook has actually gone

I did say I wouldn't want to attempt it on a bready.... :|

Wheels will be for sale yesss, just gotta wait till the cars picked up cos i haven't got anything else to roll it about on for now!

Ah good plan, ill make sure i have the doorcards out too then.

The prices of them suck these days... there's one I've been looking at but it seems a rust bucket, even got a hole in the wing and its 800 quid! Dunno what people are on these days

Got bored of facebook!

Mk2 is clearly the cooler polo to go for .

I would say get a Golf though iff you can afford it much better cars tbh .

Hmm, not convinced. I can't afford to insure a 16v gti or a g60 neither can i afford the petrol!

Plus i have this AEE and all the gubbings, will be fast enough for me for now whilst i'm at uni!

:-)

Don't agree with any of that lol

Mk2 polo = Round Headlights = Instant Win

Golf Mk1 + Mk2 much better handling cars , better design at the end of the day . They actually feel like a real car to drive .

Depends if you prefer the feel of a car or a go-kart...

I know which i prefer ;)

Ended up with a tuned GT engine, H&R cup kit and polybushed everything lots of dollar spent. Kept its OE appeal.

Breadys can be cool if you get it right too:

Shameless whoring but i think you should go for mk2 coupe or bready.

My advice is don't buy on here, or even ebay. Check classifieds listings and autotrader (all the time as you have to be quick if you see something) as you won't have to fork out the scene tax and probably find a less abused car. Ebay is still good but you can still pay over the odds on there.

The front of that bready is amazing dude.

Yeah i agree, Bready definetly, Just something about them when lowered on some decent wide wheels

I still prefer mk3's, but i think its all down to preferance and what you want.

Tut.

is there anymore pictures of that bready anywhere?

Remember it form years back think it is still being built ..

Guy on here was called streetsleeper from what i remember .

Yeah there is a thread in the mk2 section on the car. It is still in the body shop as we speak iirc. He is a cool guy and the engine in his car is my coupe S engine. He is taking his sweet time with it but i am sure the finish will be wicked.

Love your mk2 demolover, that's pretty much exactly where I want to go, but with some old skool 14" compomotive TH's. Just gotta get hold of one, so difficult it seems! I've got a while to source one though, and I'm gonna take my time make sure I get a goodun!

Yeah man. Plain and simple is the best approach with the mk2 coupe in my eyes. Compomotive or revolution wheels always look good on the mk2 as well. Just find one with minimal rust and any rust there is get on top of straight away and you will be laughing. Case of keeping your eyes peeled and not being slack if you see something as it will be gone. Due to the increase in popularity in this 'scene' old dubs seem to disappear double quick time at the minute.
