AFH would just finish it off.

Very simple and very right.

saw it in derby, looks good in the flesh, wheels are immense dude! :-)

Thanks a lot guys!

Only one thing I'm slightly worried about doing the AFH conversion is, If I run it on carbs will I have problems at M.O.T time? (emissions I mean). Any help would be appreciated! :-)

nice photo ^ i feel a rolling shoot coming on....when we can find someone to borrow a passenger seat off, maybe your mate from the other night in the 5 door 6n2? ask him!

Yeee he'd be keen sometime. He was also talking about setting up a rig on the car for rolling shots as he needs some for his portfolio!

ideal, send me his name over fb so i can speak to him! nice one

its looking awesome mate, you know I'm a huge fan :)

does the engine swap mean you'll be keeping it a bit longer then ? ;)

Cheeers dude! I'm a big fan of yours aswell :-)

I think so... I'm in no rush to go buy a rado just yet, I'm waiting till the new year till I have a job here in Derby. I wanna do the engine swap cos I need something to do for a month or so over Christmas otherwise I'll be bored stiff at home haha. Also the 1.3 is just so bloody boring to drive!

  • Author

Cheers duuude! I got the roof bars from Halfrauds, then the bike rack from Wilcos. Both were cheap as chips!

In theory being a 93 means you could be in for potentially more grief, however if you get an engine out of an earlier car (not an AFH then  ), do the emissions off the engine code which should also sort any issues with lack of CAT etc ;)

Cars looking good man

An this one from max, damn i need a new number plate!

Also picked up a couple of bits for the AEE conversion from Joel (cheers bud).

Bigger updates soon when I get the block an stuff... changing it over in my Uni car park is gunna be a barrel of laughs... :doubt:

nice one, the AEE engine is a treat, had one in my mk4, what do you plan to do to the engine itself? would be intrested to see what sort of power you could get out of it as i too shall be fitting one in a mk3 some time soon hopefuly

  • Author

Well my spec planned for the moment is:

AEE Block/head

GT cam

GT injection (GT inlet cut and welded to an ABU flange)

Dewedged TB

standard manifold/ de-cat/ straight through exhaust

8p box

Clutch an flywheel from my AAV.

Hoping for a solid 100bhp with that, and a shed load of torque.

Will have to see though, i'll get it on the rollers as soon as i've done it.

i like this car..

il pop down the scrappy tomorrow..:)

  • Author

Cheers maxy babes, if you find a GT inlet manifold or an ABU inlet manifold let me know also 8-)

okkkeyy..

abu whats that???same as aee?

  • Author

Yup but it has a metal inlet manifold instead of the AEE's shitty plastic one.

I just found this.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Engine-for-skoda-fel...b#ht_500wt_1182

Buy it then sell all the bits I don't need like alternator manifolds starter motor etc, recon i could make half my money back on it. Soo close aswell!

yee just see the link on fb....could do...

ill keep my eyes peeled...
