Ian.

Cheers buddy, I'll be regularly updating!

plan sounds good, lad on here called matt davies had 106 bhp with not so much work as tht so should be easily doable

Ah fair one! Maybe it'll be making more like 110 then.. (I can hope!)

I'm having troubles finding a GT inlet manifold... really annoying! It's a key bit cos it's gonna take me a while to cut and shut it an i wanna get it done so i can put everything in at once. Good times eh!

I'm also gunna try use my current exhaust from the downpipe back, I'll use the sump and oil pickup from my AAV so that should get rid of any clearance issues. Failing that I can always lengthen the exhaust a wee bit.

think i will be coming to you to get a hand with mine then :)

Well the ebay guy shafted me, i phoned up this morning about collecting it, and apparentely he sold it in the morning even after i'd won the auction. What a cock-end. Would not recommend ever buying from that seller!

But it's fine, I've been to CMS in derby just round the corner and they've got a load of them so I'm off to pick one up tomorrow. 75 quid! Am well chuffed :-) Probably end up getting a load of other bits aswell, so will update this tomorrow.

did you get the top caps in the end mate?

did you get the top caps in the end mate?

I didn't! The company never got back to me, even when I emailed them several times. Rubbish.

I need more drastic measures to get the front down though than just -10mm caps. Me and Dubmax have got a plan up our sleeves for a homebrew set up which is gonna allow for mega lows.... :-D

if it works out pm me, cus I've got an 80mm kit and same trye size as you, and i need my front lower than that :ninja:

Picked up the AEE at last after getting shafted from the ebay guy. Got this one, 38k miles with gearbox for £100. Quite pleased!

More updates soon, I'm still looking for a GT inlet manifold so if anyone has on PM me!

i felt like a freak having my box of tools under my desk at uni, let alone an engine! like to see you explain that one to the wardens, haha.

Haha nah you're right, people think I'm bloody mad! My flatmates couldnt believe it.

We were really worried when we were hauling the engine from the car to my room that we'd get spotted by one of the caretakers or something and get a bollocking. But when the caretaker came round the corner and saw us, he gave me a little trolley to put it on to wheel it to my room! Legend

 you are lucky you dont go to uni in bristol, any sniff of a student owning a car and they shit a brick!!

ahaha it was so funny dude, wheres the kid at christmas photo i took!

Not puttin that up i look like a retard!

Just went and spent some monies to give the engine a refresh, cam & aux belts, plugs, filters etc. Still undecided whether I should whack the head off and put a new headgasket in.

Flywheel should be comin off tonight, that's gonna be a chore.

Wip the head if man.... You would he royally pissed if you got it all in then the Valve stem seals leak haha....

i think you need to sell me your wheels lol i love them your car is spot on fella
