All the badges on my car look pretty crappy, very faded. So I thought about buying some of this, to give a couple of quick coats, then just whack them back on.

But, will it last more than a few weeks, or start looking shitty and flake off, very quickly?

that spray would be water proof yea but it looks poop

bit of laquer over that silver leaf would hold it weather proof

yeah chrome paint is usually whack.. in my experience its alot runnier than other colours.. doesnt stick well and never actually looks chrome. as the guy above said its sort of a dodgy.. plasticy.. shiny silver.

i bought som of this from halfrauds thinking exactly the same but like stated before its just a kinda silver and not particularly shiny... you could try airfix paint as they do a chrome one thats supposed to be quite good.

in the end i just sprayed em black and then laqured. i was quite impressed when it didnt run in the rain

I've seen somebody paint some cheap alloys with this. Wasn't anywhere near chrome and just a tad bit more shiny silver. Really not worth it.

i didnt think much of it but check out renegade440's build thread and hes gone crazy with the stuff lol and it looks fairly smart

that paint isn't the best i used it on the headlight rims on my classic mini, they looked ace before I lacquered them, then it just went crap metallic grey, supposedly a reaction between the paint and the lacquer, I don't know what to suggest buddy, I ended up buying new headlight rims.

Exactly what happened with me, I bought some in the end as it was going cheap at motosave.

Looked pretty good until I lacquered it, went light grey. =/

Belton Molotow make a great chrome spraypaint. It comes in 500ml cans and is quite high pressure but with an orange-dot low pressure cap (nozzel) and a little skill you can get a great chrome effect from it. Don't expect it to look like chrome though!
