What is the best way to fill the rear badge recess, is it by simply using filler???

weld a plate in or plastic weld a bit of plastic in and filler on top, how deep is the recess, i cant remmebr u might get away with filler, but if its deep it would just crack and look poop

would fibre glass not work? ie isopon p40??

Best of welding it then skimming with fiberglass and filler.

Or better still buying the tailgate I've got thats already welded and filled

honestly theres no point cutting corners on this and using fibre glass n body filler, it'll eventuall crack /fall out and you'll have to re-do it properly.

your best off welding a plate in there and skimming with filler this way it'll last and you wont be disappointed

Thats what i was thinking you cant weld plastic onto metal

What if i weld a circle piece of metal into the hole and then filler the rest, would that work

make a template of the hole on card so you have a snug fit then cut that out of metal, tack it in all the way around to avoid warping the panel and then a light skim of filler buddy and paint, job done
