Well basically i'm buying a polo soon, its a standard car and i want to get some Coilovers. What sort of cheap-ish coilovers can i get?

Would mk3 golf coilovers fit a mk3 polo ???

coilovers for the mk3 have to be custom made from your origianl struts as the streering is integral to the strut, and they're NOT cheap!

both of you really should have hit the search button, or just looked at the philj section which has them in.

and NO 6n coilies wont fit, youve already been told the answer. if polo 6n coilies fitted, someone would have told you 6n coilies fitted

yeh but its not ideal unless you match the spring and damping rateswith whatever front shocks and psrings you decide to run (or buy pps front coilies which have already been custom build and they can match the shocks and damping rate to similar to that of your rears)

also remember the golf mk1 is a far heavier car than your mk1 golf, and mismatching your suspension isnt really wise and will comprimise your handling!

mate mk1 golf coilovers fit on the rear! try on a caddy forum, some people buy golf suspension for the caddy and have no use for the rears!

thats what i did and got some brand new ta-tecnics for £60. then i got front shocks and springs!
