What tyre stretch on ats classics?

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm getting some ats classics for my coupe, Front Setup: Size: 13x7.0" PCD/Offset: 4 x100 ET20

Rear Setup: Size: 13x8.0" PCD/Offset: 4 x100 ET1

I have the option (as its a wheel & tyre package) from rimstyle to have 195/45/13 or 175/50/13 on the front and 195/45/13 only on the rear.

What would be the better stretched size for the front and rear? What do they looklike?

Also what offset is best, its been lowered 60mm all round

As alot of people are running these wheels any advice and pics would be much appreciated!

Thanks

lol this is all i get when i try n get 175/45/13 . . . . No Tyres Found

We're very sorry. We cannot supply tyres in your chosen size.

On no you dont have to have the same profile all round to pass an MOT.

Left and right sizes must match, not front and back.

And 175/50 on the front 7" with 175/45 on the rear 8" would look stupid.

Smithy_6n is right, The MOT rules state the tyres can be different front-back, but the back must be bigger than the front, not the other way round Also as a side note, 175/45 R13 doesn't exist, your best option so far as safety goes would be 175/50 front, 195/45 rear. 175 on the rear is far too much for 8" wheel ;)

175/50 over a 8" rim :-

I'd hardly call that to much.

Easy stretch.

I do prefer 195/45's though, lower profile stretch..

yeh but on the 8's ull need 175/50 to get tread under arch.

175/50/13 all round

Surely you want the front and rear tyres to look the same?

If you've got 7s on the front and 8s on the rear, its gonna look a bit daft having 175s all round because the rears will be more stretched than the front.

The sidewalls of a 195x45 on an 8in rim,and 175x50 on a 7in rim,will look the same.

Its not that noticeable having the same stretch tyres all round to be honest... i think my choice would be 175/50 all round. I run them now (conti sports) on a 7J rim and i give it hell down the back lanes and its awesome. Theres safe stretch on a 7, but not a great deal.. whereas it's gonna look sweet on the 8J rears ^ as pictured..

Ran 195/45's all round on my vento, 8J upfront, 9rear.. didnt look odd.

Cheers for all your advice! I think I'm gunna do 175/50/13 all the way round but the only thing thats putting me off is a 175 stretched over an 8, but people are doin it so i'll give it a go lol

Dont worry dude, it's quite a rounded stretch, safe as houses.

Bit of a change of subject....

i seen some alleycats on a mini website at a really good price. Would these fit on the coupe without spiggot rings, spacers etc...
