Hi there and welcome to my auction for a Volkswagen Bora (MK4 Jetta).

i have owned this car for a few months now, but am selling in the hope of getting something a little bigger ( like a transporter van).

it's a fantastic car, really practical but it has also been subtly modified to make it look a little different if you know where to look!

it has 18" R32 alloys and has been slightly lowered. the ride is still very comfortable but it corners like it's on rails! :)

it's fitted with air-con, 4 electric windows, remote central locking, electric mirrors and has the standard VW cd/cassette player.

it also has the net optic trim, not the usual grandad-wooden one, so it looks good on the inside too.

so, good points.

12 months MOT and 6 months tax

nice alloys

good reliable car, really economical on petrol

paintwork is in excellent condition all round

slightly modded, but not 'chaved up'

standard 2l engine, so pulls well in all gears but isn't going to cost the earth on insurance

and the bad points.

the front brake pads warning light has come on in the past couple of days, however it went through it's MOT 2 weeks ago and absolutely nothing was said about this. no advisory, nothing. we checked the handbook and it said to have a look at the pads and take action if appropriate. it still stops on a penny so i haven't been worried about it.

slightly high mileage. however, when i asked the previous owner about this, he said they were mostly motorway miles.

i've set the reserve to be what i consider to be a reasonable amount, taking the MOT and tax left into account, but also the high mileage.

I'm not desperate to sell this car, so if the reserve isn't met i will be keeping it!!

however, as i mentioned earlier, i am looking for a transporter van. maybe i could buy your car and you buy mine??

also, Ebay won't let me P/X or SWAP. i don't know WHY?
