thought my conversion was done but come to fit the rad an fan but hte fan wont connect as my fan is a 3prong one

what conversion is it? GTs should have a 2 speed 3 prong fan, i wouldnt run a gt with just a 1 speed fan...

nope its only got 2 prongs on the plug but on the fan it self its got 3 the plugs massive

is the loom from a gt? I've never seen a gt with a 2 speed fan?

yea the loom is out of a GT i bought it off max cross is it check his build thread it says in there

the connector is 2 pin i know for sure, gts came with 2 speed fan tho 3 pin, I'm adamant

i cant recall off top of my head, but i think the radiator fan is on the light loom? i could be wrong, but if it is then the light loom isnt a gt loom, it will work fine, but only 1 speed fan lol

Hmmm. I swear i've read on here that early mk3 GT's came with a single speed fan fitted. My GT's fan wasn't even wired up when I bought it, only took me a month to figure that one out!

As for the fan I know the socket is different between the mk2 and 3. Some mk3's have a 2 speed fan some only have a single speed. I can't remember which one you have. The way to tell is if the socket connecting to the fan has 3 pins then its a 2 speed if it only has 2 then its a single speed. I think yours is a signal speed.
