So I took my driver's door exterior door handle off my 1999 Polo 6N for no apparent reason..

I used the key turning it 90 deg clockwise to release it from it's place in the door, then I let the key spring back to the vertical position

*PING*

A couple of things went down the inside of the door, but I think I recovered them all.. I looked in the old Haynes to see if I could put it back together but they said as it is the new 'freewheel' lock barrel design, I should just take it to a dealer? They showed no pictures or anything which kind of screwed me over. I really don't want to get raped by VW for something as silly as this.. has anyone got a picture of what one should look like? I'm not sure if I have all the parts or where they need to go.

And how hard would it actually be just to put it together again? Surely some of you have managed to do it no trouble?
