Hi Guys,

some idiot has lopped the blocks off the origional stereo so its just showing wires.

can anyone help with what colours are what or a diagram?

I think I sorted

Thick brown - Ground

thick red x 2 - bat/constant live?

brown / red strip- ignition

If I'm wrong I apologise as I'm trying to figure them out lol

I've searched and searched the forum but cannot find anything for wiring on the mk4 with "stereo wiring" "mk4 stereo" wiring+stereo etc

Ok, so by the looks of it I'm figuring it out myself and aslo as a newbie posting to help others.

Thick Brown - Ground

Thick red (2 on this one) - battery constant live

Thin brown with red stripe - Ignition

Left over is... and probably speakers

Thin Grey with blue stripe -

red / brown strip -

brown / blue strip -

blue -

I maybe wrong but I will find out once fitting at some point as its not my car is my next door neighbours (lady)
