Iv been arguing about this with my dad for ages now so i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it. I'm insuring my car with my mum as the proposer and me as a named driver, if she has a few years NCB on her own policy for her car, when the company asks me how many years NCB do i put how many including the years she has on her car or is it 0 years because its a new policy?? because my dad seems to think i should put 0 years but I'm not sure :S

its 0 years no claims... it would work out cheaper if you do the policy and your mum i s a named driver ... tht way you build your own no cliams :)

Why would you think you could just have your mums NCB? How were you going to figure telling a insurance company e.g I'm 18 and have 8 NCB and 0yrs holding a licence

How many NCB do you have?

haha i know i can't just steal her NCB but i was wondering when it asks me how many years NCB she has as a driver would it be how many she has or 0 because its a new policy? I'm guessing 0?? Iv got none atm because iv been a named driver :( can anyone suggest some fairly cheap companies for and 18yr old :( everywheres so expensive like 1400+. My girlfriend insured her 1.0l Lupo at 17 on her own policy for £700!! Maybe ill just get a clunge ?? Might save me monies

i'd reckon the best bet is to man up an let the the insurance companies take your wallet. hah

lucky for me Jordi, come january, i'll be 19 and have 1years NCB ;)

haven't seen you for a while boy! where you been hiding!
