cheers m8.... oy uncles next door neighbour is a copper lol ill ask him :)

to fit them you are gonna have to make custom runner either weld them in or make custom runners out of box section and as for the illigal bit if u put solid bucket seats in they pass an mot so i take it that they would be fine

heres the plan i had .... correct me if I'm wrong ....

i get the runners tht are already on a polo 6n seat ..... then attatch these to the bottom of my new seats ???

If you have seats in the back MOT regs say the fronts need to tilt forward to allow access in the event of an accedent, to pass the MOT correctly with them in you would have to pull out the rear seats (not a problem) and the rear seat belts (IIRC the it was '96 or '97 the MOT regs were tightend as you only needed to take the seats out up till then) I know quite a few people who were into the bucket seat thing that got hit when that change came in.

As for the runners rather than cutting the stock ones off you may be better looking at some subframes for aftermarket seats as they will have a flat top, I used Konig ones to fit the Boxter seats to my 6N.

if i leave the rear seats in .... will this then invalidate my insurance and mot ?

and is it illegal then if i leave em in ?

If you leave them in how you gonna get to them anyway?

better off just decking it out with a false floor tbh
