maybe he thought a polo looked like a VR6 ?

all these polo's with six cylinders these days. . . . .

no i no the difference cheers

A show is definitly what you make it, I've been to numerous all type modded car shows and I hate them , no one talks to each other, the quality of cars is mainly crap, and everyone is really arrogant. Everyone at the polo show had time to talk to each other and everyone was super friendly. I genuinly feel I've made some good mates from just spending a few days there, and for me, that a big part of what a show, and the moddified car scene should all be ablout. Id have been happy if there were only half the cars there if everyone was still as friendly as they were :)

as rupie said really, everyone is there for the same reason as you, just dont be affraid to crack open a beer with sum1 you dont know.. class weekend, met alot of freindly people and alot of laughs

You love the cock.

Got none this weekend mate..

There were some stunners about though but with boyfriends :(

prefer to go to shows where you can look around cars without walking around some ones tent and where there eating and stuff.

definitely plenty of cars to look at if you fancied trecking around the whole camp site, ha.

gotta admit though the women who came running at me to tell me to turn my music down Sunday morning and fell and made a mud wave over my car really alot of people chuckle that saw it. so haha to you and keep up the good work.

and you what?

forgot your gaffer tape ?

Yeah :(

But i could've just shouted 'surprise'..

the beloved legalities of it all.

have ten pints of stella, anything is legal after ten of those.

It was like that scene from The Inbetweeners when we went to the fairground..

Spotted some fluff from a distance.. went for a closer look only to find some skets in pjamas and nike air's giving us the old 'brrrapppp'

Amazing Show ! meet awesome people stayed down with the Scottish guys everyone i met enjoyed it, all i can say is edition 38 is full of utter bellends hope you enjoy it

great few days , people gota realise its asmuch scene as it is show , and how can u have 3 pages without mentioning the german 6n or the stunning darby

The german 6n was mint, did anyone see his clocks?

his clocks where the business. and the darby was apsolutely stunning clear winner.

we would of had a good time if we didnt get told of for been 2 noisey all the time

and did meet quite a few nice people there and they thought it was shocking 2

roll on vw fest and edition 2 proper shows :)

As far as I'm aware the only person that got "told off" for being noisey was the dude in the red 6n who decided that he would play his music at full volume at 7:30am on the Sunday morning, so if you got told to turn your music down then I'm guessing that this was you. In which case you only got told to turn your music down until a more reasonable hour as the campsite is used by other members of the public - not just Club Polo - and after not being able to have the show at Billing last year we want to do everything we can to ensure that we are allowed back there next year!

At the end of the day all that is required from you is a little respect for the other people using the site!!

If you didn't have a good time at the show it's because you didn't put the effort into being a friendly sociable person and getting out and about and having a laugh. From what I saw of it everyone seemed to be having a good time and messing about having some fun which is what it's all about.

i dunno y u would want it there if you cant have a rave on a night pretty pointless realy

lol stop crying over spilt milk mate, everyone else had an awesome time, its not a super duper uber show like edition38, but its our show for our polos and for all us mates to kick back and chill.

you came to a car show, you got cars, if you wanted a rave, should have gone to a rave...

top show again, lil miffed about helping to clean up again this year along with some other helpful people who took it upon themselves to help.

some of you lot really are messy cnuts

ps the people who travelled like 3 hours and spent 20 minutes

uber lol, the only fail my friends is yourselves...

I think the point is 7.30 am isnt the best time for a rave, when people nearby have kids etc

ps the people who travelled like 3 hours and spent 20 minutes

uber lol, the only fail my friends is yourselves...

i don't think some of you realised what is involved in organising a show like this, I for one just had hassle before, during and now after the show and it makes it a thankless task sometimes.

I don't know what some people expect from us, its up to you guys to make the show by talking to each other and being sociable, there were a lot of new faces there this year and i admit i really didn't know who most people were but its nice to meet new people and look at some different cars.

There was quite a good turn out, not as many as in 2007 i don't think and compared to the number of club members yes it was a poor turn out, but if people don't want to be sociable and help make it a good show then we can't force them!

If anyone wants to step forward and help out with next years organisation then please let me know, the people that were doing it have been doing so for years and as i said before when you just get slated its not much fun. We all have full time jobs as well and i for one was looking forward to a nice chilled weekend away, and it was really work and hassle most of the time because a few people don't read the rules, have no common sense and can't behave themselves!

At the end of the day Billing is a holiday park full of families so need to show a bit of respect, and we are stuck really as we don't have enough people that are willing to prebook in order to be able to find our own venue such as E38, with that we would need to pay for the field out of club funds and then would need to sell tickets and hope we get the numbers, possibly we could share a venue with another club but again we would need more than a certain number of people to book in advance in order to be able to afford it which just doesn't seem likely!

thanks to those who had a good time and helped to make it generally a really good show, if it wasn't for you guys i don't think any of us would bother next year to be honest.

Agreed, think some people are coming across as ungrateful..

I don't think it was badly organised at all, getting it back to Billing and in August were good decisions and hopefully it'll be there again next year.

thought it was a good...

people were a lot more friendly than other shows, not so stuck up and arragent.

Good to put some faces to the names :)

shame that there soooooo many members on this forum and the turnout was no were complimenting that.

only downside was the show and shine, finsihed wayyyyyy tooo early other shows usually finish about 2.but o well.

not sure if i will make it next year as i might nothave the polo :(

Babz

i dunno y u would want it there if you cant have a rave on a night pretty pointless realy

because it's a car show and not a rave? music at that level at 7:30am on sunday morning is just not on, not only because you woke everyone in the site up when they needed sleep but because if billing security had been around then club polo would be in trouble again and possibly not allowed back on site again like happened last year.

It's a shame you didn't enjoy it but maybe your expectations were a bit too high? If you were expecting it to be like edition then it just isn't, this club has no where near the funds required to put an edition 38 scale event on. In the general scheme of things we dont do so bad, how would you feel if you'd driven that far for that VR6OC show or the ukmk4s mega meet thingy in the field behind? Their turnouts were pityful.
