Epic!!!!!

Who won?

That mint blue derby on RSL's with cream interior, dunno the chap or the number plate but it was predictable! Fair play to him though it was gorgeous!

yeah it won last year....credit to him tho

really is tidy

i reckon split it into mark specific.

I'd rather go to this show for the people than a 'proper' show for the cars and arrogance....

Deffo. Awesome time, met some new peeps and had a laugh, my exhaust is well and truly hanging now!

lol i thought you were the one that said to stop there lol

Oh the only dissapointment for me was I forgot to buy a polo show 2009 sticker.

There wernt any mate, they wernt made in time but karl said we should be able to get them soon.

Ah good (well sort of) I've got the full set sofar. :-D

I only went today but it was really good. Met up with a few mates and met a couple of new people which was really good because everyones really friendly. Some of the cars which were there were stunning and over all we had the sun aswell !! :)

Good show definately be attending in the future.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, and apologies to those who were less happy. We try our best but recent staffing problems meant that alot of things were organised at the VERY last minute. We were lucky we had a show at all really.

The show and shine winners were:

1 euro_derby: mk derby GLS

2 higgo: mk1 polo GLS

Joint 3rd Liz: Comet Blue mk2 Coupe S and Nick_S: Metallic Red mk2 Coupe S G40

5 Forget his name right now, but it was the Red G40 with 1/2 CC'd bumpers and the LPG conversion.

I agree with the comments about having separate catagories and a "best of show" It's definitely worth thinking about for next year.

I'd stopped counting but we were on about 150 cars by saturday night so we could've had well over 200 cars turn up including day visitors.

Nah mate you all did a really good job, cheers for everything :D

Anyone got any idea who stole the spare wheel out of my mates caddy? That was the only bad thing about the weekend IMO.

The people who are saying it was crap obviously needed to get involved! ;)

More than 1 theft then by the sounds of things..

Ahh were you the dude who got his dustcaps nicked? There's always one idiot who ruins things ay...

Also if anyone knows the people in the 200SX can you have a word with them about doing donuts on the grass on the way out, it's a family venue and that sort of thing id frowned upon.

There was a 5.5J steel "6-hole" wheel in the marquee that we thought had been left behind as rubbish. One of the guys that stayed right to the end had the same wheels on his polo so I said he could take it, as it was only going to be thrown away. If your mate's going edition, I might be able to get it back for you.

I voted it was good.

a show is only as good as the people who go to it, so if no-one bothers to turn up, you cant expect it to be any good.

i went on saturday and stayed most of the day and from what i could tell, there was no-where near as many cars as the previous billing polo show.

you can hardly complain about the show being naff or what-ever if no-one can be bothered to turn up cos of a bit of rain (and for the record it wasnt that bad, some very light showers but nothing too bad)

personally i had a good time as i got to catch up with a few friends that i only ever see at the poloshow, so the fact that few cars were there didnt bother me at all.

IMO dont winge about the show, winge about the people who couldnt be bothered to go to it

Well said.

We had a polo3 meet

It was lovely to put some more faces to names and finally meet some off you :smirk: Next year I'm deffo hitting it hard all weekend with the sexy scotts

How many active members? Very disappointed in the turn out and most of you people that spend your life on here and bitching at everyone or anything, where were you? A club is what you make it and unfortunately this club is getting a bad name due to the amount of tools on here recently and the general attitude and vibe from members. If you don't like it, do us all a favour and fuck off.

I only had one problem though guys, constructive criticism mind you... A show is suppose to be a social event. It was on and off rain, you had a marquee which was empty, why was low music and shit not orgnaised for in here? I expected that from a show this size... It was all for one and none for all, everyone just sat in their tents or under a gazbo. I was a little disappointed by this because I did expect it to be a tad more social in that aspect. I did even consider driving my car in with low tunes and gathering people at one point :?

Everything else is how I expected and I know I would have had a wicked time if I had done the whole weekend!

Oh actually I have one bad point, the fucking air freshner fucking stinks and in a toilet cleaner way. It shall not be going back in my car until it's dead

Well done to all those involved to make this happen and to those who supported the club
