Was driving home from the polo show today and have noticed that the car struggles up hills, loses power and whistles when you put your foor to the floor,

It also struggles to get past 3,000 Rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Any ideas what this could be?

Could do, just replaced the air filter for a brand new standard VW one. Any Ideas?

Check the little pipes on the manifold for cracks or if one has come off.
