Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

So i joined uk-mkivs as i was looking for a Golf for a next car, now since my mate has bought Delz old 1.8T 20v - Remapped by Jabba pushing 220bhp! (off the uk-mkivs forums) and having been in it today i instantly feel in love!

So i got curious as to what i would get for insureance prices now i thought shoot going to be sky high like 2/3k easy.

For comparision i was thinking of getting a G40 or a Polo 6n G40 conversion.......

So insureance on a G40, 3k..... i cant get it under.

Details;

I'm 21

Iv had one crash (has been settled last year)

Lost no claims but i got one in Dec.

Been driving since 2006

Current Polo Fully Comp; £680 (1.4 8v CL) (before crash on the previous yr i was paying £900 TPTF!, yet it was cheaper after crash and being fully comp)

Now i did a quote on a Golf 1.8T 20v (150bhp) and to my bloody surprise it was only £1500!! Might sound alot to you but for me thats still cheap after a crash and having no claims bonus's

What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking what on earth am i doing with a bloody POLO!!!!

Thanks, Dean.

What you doing?!. Get the GOLF!! :lol:

i was paying that for my 150bhp seat, I'm 19 lol

Yeah, the BAM lumps are cool and pretty nippy..

However, the turbos are only good for up to around the 200bhp mark, well the KO3S is anyways, so I'd advise if you are thinking of major power, think about how much a new turbo will be to fit and whatnot.
