would a mk2 grill and lights fit a mk3 or would i have to buy new wings and bonnet?

New wings and bonnet mate. You can see that they are totaly different shapes, with cut outs for the indicators for the MK3 ones. New grille. You may even need a new valance too.

Wouldn't bother

the front end is totally different so it's not even just a case of bolting on new bonnet and wings. just buy a mk2 if you want a car that looks like a mk2 ;)
