Just thought some of you may be able to help me out.

Think my gearbox or cluth is dead or something.

End of my journey today it just suddenly struggled to go into gear, I had to really force it in and took a few attempts.

Its starting whining really loud and I could feel the gearbox dragging at one point.

I then noticed a drip on the bottom of the gearbox and wondered if it could be dry? but surely its dead now?

any ideas please?

also wheres a good place to get a gearbox from, I'll do the cluth whilst I'm at it.

Squirt some oil in it first,might as well unless it needs a clutch anyway.

I've always had good ones from breakers where i removed the box myself first (after inspecting the car) and my breaking them has only been with quite highly modified engines.
