Haha seems i'm just unlucky like a lot of you guys have been. I'm moving away from here soon anyway so won't have to deal with the stupid power crazy coppers again! Hopefully they won't be so bad in Derby.

When I got pulled the cops the last three times they have been sound as a pound. In fact, come to think of it. I've never been pulled by an officer who is a cock. I'm always just polite and friendly and they usually appreciate it and give the minimum bollocking and let you get on your way.

Been pulled a few times for tyres, avoiding pot holes (thought i was pissed) and having a lowered/modified car....The police round our area seem okay like

Providing you're polite as you say..

i love the police. there amazing. i've been stopped 43 times in the last 3 years, just 'routine checks'. ok, the odd speeding or bulb broken which is fair enough and a few times not in a car. lovely burton upon trent :)

goes for you and the O.P at a certain point (think its 3 times in a month) it becomes harrasment, and if the anpr you or even computer check your reg, it gets flagged up as pulled to much and they cant touch you...

unless you have done somthing wrong in front of them! i.e run a red or driving dangerously..

so dont drive like an arse in front of cops if you do fit the harrasment catagory as they can still have you on the right grounds if they so want to ;)

So bring maybe do a bit of research into that and see what the ins and outs are... if you get pulled its somthing to sugest to em ;)

jon you car is well noisy if i was a copper i would do you straight away...hahah....jokes

thats just pathetic...not to mention illegal pokey wheels??hah

isnt there a db limit for public roads??

Haha. I might actually try that one next time :D

Does help that that is what he does for a living.

I've never been pulled over round Derby. But then I'm a good boy :unibrow:

Right.. been to MOT tester this morning and he basically laughed and said you're kidding me, it's quiet. Blue slip has been stamped and sent to the police. Yay :-D

Till next time..... :finger:

Glad to hear it! I have a powerflow system + induction kit, and i have to say it really isn't that loud like you said, you can hear it though when i put my foot down, sounds pretty much standard when cruising in higher gears.

Yeah man, to be honest my system isn't loud till you get past about 3.5k revs. It's just a nice low burble on idle, and that's what the policeman was testing it on. Next time they stop me I think i'll be more pressing as to what I've been stopped for, as they seem to enjoy stopping people for no apparent reason round here, which I understand is illegal? Oh well I've been out in it tonight and went past a couple of cops - neither of them did anything! Very surprising.

2nd to that i find they end up comenting more like "Really like what you have done with this" I never get them looking around the car either for some obscure reason .

depends what condition the car's in tho doesn't it?

Very true and or the presence of Tinted windows , Subwoofers , "Performance" Exhaust's ie Huge things .

Iff i was a copper and saw a fairly ratty car i would pull it to bits and check everything

Iff i saw a fresh mint example of an old car i would asume it has been looked after extensivly .

Most cops are alright and just pull me over for a chat and a quick look around but I've had some bastards to deal with...

last night i got pulled for driving in an manner likely to cause aggravation, For doing 20MPH in a new 20 Zone, copper wouldnt belive me despite pointing the 20 sign out to him, still gave me a section 59 and i asked for his name, number and serving police station, to which he wasnt too asmused, so went straight down the cop shop and reported his ass, he gets called in and arrives 10mins later charging throught the doors like a bull in a china shop, almost pushing the doors into the station Sargent face, and he gets one hell of a bollocking, He then gives me a poor excuse for an apology, so I also ask for it in writing too, (which made the copper go bright red with rage and the station Sargent cough to cover up the laugh and dismiss him), and the sargent said the section 59 would be revoked in the morning.

This afternoon I get a letter of apology hand delivered by an officer from the station Sargent, stating that the officer has now been brought up on harassment after a number of similar complaints came to light and that the Section 59 has been officially cancelled. :)

Haha, brilliant. Mo f*cker got dealt :-)

I couldnt belive he was being serious. worse thing was he couldn't find a fault with my car, missed the slightly low tread on the back wheels. (being replaced on friday).

If I got pulled once a month for having a loud exhaust, I'd do summit about it.

But if you like it and it's legal, then I do have to say quit ranting and accept they are gonna pull you... But when they pull you again they are only going to look to pick fault elsewhere! I know what i'd do!

Drive Naked?!?

I don't need too, i can just flutter my eye lids and push my tits up :-p Though that routine will not work when following Sian at Tatton and both off us driving through a speed camera at about 60 in a 50, doh!

*everything crossed* I nearly made it to my 2 years with a clean slate and I've never been pulled yet *touches wood*

I don't know how I, off all people got away with it tbh

I've been pulled in my mini (lower as with euro look) the 2 coppers had a look round and asked why i went over the speed bump at a crawl. pointed out the the bump was more of a man made mountine and the mini is fairly low. At which point the agreed with me that the bump was well high and praised me for my hard work on it.

Couple of weeks later the middle section has been removed from the bump, so i cant of been the only one to have this issue!

If you'd read the thread you'd see that I pointed out that it is not loud at all.. the police just pull me over because my car is modified, but usually their excuse is "random checks" or crap like that.

I cant believe how much you all get pulled. After 4 years on the road, and about 15 cars and two bikes (most of which were highly ratty/beaten up/knackered motors), and (I am ashamed to say) some appauling driving... I have only ever been pulled once, and that was in the Justy when I was doing 50 in a 30 on my way to a bonfire. Sound copper didnt even look at the car (to notice the headlight out and the 3 bald tyres) gave me a bit of a lecture and then when it came up as un insured he took my word for the traders policy excuse I came out with. Result. Still got a clean liscence.

I think a lot of it is to do with where you live. If I ever go to a city I see loads of cop cars. round here you hardly ever see em (well, just often enough to remind you to stop driving like a nob)

You're lucky mate haha. I live slap bang in the middle of my city and there are tonnes of cop cars round here! Even say on a 10 minute drive around I'll at least see two.

as for moaning about the police, have you ever stopped to wonder what it takes too be a police officer?? yes i appreciate 90% of police officers do get a bit of a power trip once having been issued with there warrant card...we have a new pcso in louth who I've known for 20 years and now she thinks shes too good to talk too anyone...however, imagine everyone hating you for doing your job?? someone has too do the job otherwise whose going to stop the low lifes of the world causing harm and danger to others. Its not the greatest job in the world, they dont get the greatest pay in the world and they have too put up with majority of people disliking them just because of there choice of career!!!

sorry, little bit of off topic rant but i get tired of people slating the police. for info, yes I am an ex army policeman :-D
