Really don't want to, but I can't afford to run two cars so my beloved Saloon has to go. It was only meant as a stop-gap and I ended up keeping it for over 3 years!

Anyho, here are the facts and figures:

Good points:

Tax till end of October.

Starts up everytime, no problems. Did have a problem when it was wet but a change of HT leads cured that. Runs perfectly.

GT front seats. I also have the GT bench seat in the back, but not the backrest as it wouldn't fit, natch.

Metallic (oh yes!) paint!

Very little rust for it's age. Just a couple of tiny spots here and there around the windscreen and rear window really. No huge bits.

Currently wearing original VW alloys I took off the MKIV I just got. All tyres are excellent with front two having been fitted for it's MOT in June.

5 speed model.

Petrol tank doesn't leak!

Not so good points:

Lost 2nd gear, which is the main reason I opted to get a newer car. All other gears are working fine so I don't know if it'd be a matter of taking the box apart and having a tinker?

No MOT due to the above, but it passed last year after I changed a bulb I thought was working! No advisories.

Dent in nearside front wing where I had an altercation with a B&Q bollard last year. Haven't had the time to repair it so it's gathered a small amount of rust, but it's not too bad. Shouldn't cost much for a replacement wing, or if you've got the time, a bit of pannel beating! :)

Couple of oval holes in the parcel shelf from 6x9's. Good point if you're planing on bunging some in!

Milage recorded at 127497. And it's 1L so cheap on insurance.

Think I've covered everything. Looking at the £350 mark if you want the alloys. If not I'll do it for less. Sensible offers! And before anyone asks, no I don't want to PX for anything else, I'm quite happy with my 6n now, cheers. :)

If somone had a mk3 gearbox for sale i would certainly have it off you its not the size of the job, am just scared what damage it would to my wallet

Ironically I had a gearbox sitting in my back yard for ages and gave it to the local Uni for their Mechanics students about a month before this one gave out! Lol!

Well, not really no. I don't have any details and you'd need to pay whomever you wanted to collect it from me. Do you not know anyone with a towing bar or a trailer or something? Like I said, I'd be happy to deal with anyone who came for it but I really can't arrange it for you from my end, it's just impractical, sorry. :(
