My elderly father has finally hung up his driving licence and his car (that he has owned from new) is for sale.

It is a Polo Classic 2 door in Mars red, first registered in Oct 84, and in very good condition. The seats have never actually seen the light of day as he has, since new, always had covers on them. The same goes for the floor mats. He had a pop up sunroof fitted some time ago, but that is the sum total of his mods. He has a biblical amount of documentation as the car was regularly serviced by a local garage.

The paint work is top class and it has never had a shunt or even a scrape(in over 50 years of driving he has never had a single point on his licence)

Were it not for his new bionic knee joints, he would still be happy to drive it.

It has been cherished for so long that it is almost part of the family.

Typical VW bombproof reliability, it has NEVER let him down and he wants it to go to somebody who will also take good care of it.

As yet I have no idea of the value, and at this stage no photos of it either.

I am just sticking my toe in the water.

I did have a 84 classic in dark red and yes they where bullet proof I do miss that car 100 mile trip every day til i upgraded
