Wing mirror replacement on S reg polo

Featured Replies

Hello, some yobs kicked off my wing mirror last week and i've had to buy a replacement from scrapyard, how do I take off the plastic on the inside of the door to get to the screws? I tried pulling it but didn't want to make things worse...

just pull the black plastic triangle off with your hands, it will either break or not (pot luck really no concrete way of it not snapping) then theres 3 screws and a plug behind the door cards!

Thanks pepe, so to remove the plug I need to remove the door card?

Do you know how to remove the door card?

yes you do what i would do is un plug last so the mirror doesnt got crashing to the ground lol, ok you need a flat blade screw driver and prive the mirror switch out (from the door opener side) then prize the door pull handle cover off and theres 3 philips screws behind there undo them, unscrew the door pin and pull it of with a good yank!

Thanks! also I should have asked this in the first post but forgot! is it possible to replace the outside cover of the wing mirror, I bought one at a scrapyard that is red and the one that was kicked off (broken on the inside) is blue, how can I put the insides of the red in the blue casing.

Hope that makes sense but i've not a clue when it comes to cars!
