just got a back box fitted today,but what happens if i dont declare it?is that my insurance void if i crash ect?

Yup it'll be void most likely if you don't declare. Just declare all mods it's not worth crashing then the insurance not paying out.

i never declared a exhaust system i had on my cars cause i was driving it back then got hit from behind my insurance still payed out

um decliaring my coilovers puts my insurance up £600!!

The police won't do anything. It's between you and the insurer when it comes to the details of whats declared etc.

The police only check if the car has insurance or not, and not the fine details of it. ( at the roadside anyway )

Fraid not, my insurance company listed all my mods as "cosmetic" and didn't bump the price up at all.

Just takes a decent insurance company, not run of the mill places like Direct Line who shit their pants if you get an induction kit, because they think it must double the engine power

your best bet would be to say they were on the car when you got it, and thought they were factory fitted or something..

your not declaring wheels? thats really stupid. Its a modification that is very easily recognisable for a start, even by someone is not in 'the know' and its not a preformance enhancing modification (i.e bhp increase). I declared my alloys when i was 18 with elephant. It was £20 more.
