It was the road shots that reminded me of that video, where he is burning off from the camera at speed. To be fair its probably a very similar driving experience too, way too much power in somthing that dosent weigh enough, wind in your face, and probably not all that controllable.

tbf mate if you have ever driven a quad you will now its nothing like driving a car... no matter how little roof the car has, i get what your saying about the too much power thing but that's pretty much were any connection ends.

i just thought it was a bit of a random connection to make. a bit like 'ooh look at this monster quad' then some one replying with 'OMFG! that reminds me of this turbo charged VR6 engined mk1 golf!'

And if you have even driven a quad I'm sure you will appreciate that it is absolutely nothing like this BMW V12 thing. Which is in fairness just a car with a different seating position and a pair of handle bars.

yes i get that but that seat, handle bars and the way in which its controlled take's it far away from the realm (sp) of the car.

Either way I'm sure we would both have a bash on it given the chance. It looks at least stable to a degree, which you cant say of a conventional quad with 40bhp, let alone 500.

Get a 3 point linkage on the back with a PTO, coupled with a front loader I think it would be ok! Thats what I would want for £200,000

And as for building one for £20k, where are you going to get the engine? dodgey daves cheque exchange re-po shop?

At least the thing I related it to had 4 wheels!!! That things a motorbike, although it does have 4 wheels..... I need to sit down and think this shit through.

is it still a motor bike tho if it has 4 wheels? i know its meant to be a bike, but isn't the whole point of a bike is that it only has 2 wheels? or are we looking too deep into this?

I've wanted to build a car engined quad for a few years, ever since i saw that sti powered one :-) supercharged VAG v6 with all the running gear

Will be more like a car minus the shell though
