lol i know i think i migt end up doing it this week need to find myself another polo to take the sill off that and weld it on mine then do the drivers arch as there is a big hole there so its rather get new arch or just chemical metal what you reckon??

From what I could understand from your text. Chemical metal would defenately be solution - for a period of time. In the long run a new arch would be a better solution, as long as you can't just weld it.

three door is much better though!!

Especially when you are not a big fan of passengers ;)

Haha, thanks. Put's some kind of charm into the car, right? ;)

I like it a lot to!

One fast update:

I have a pair of color concept seats standing in Stockholm right now, I will get them by the 6th of september - then they will go into my car. Can't wait, those seats are WAY more comfy than the ones I have now, and better looking aswell.

My friends Polo on the other hand, is still original. But today we put some better speakers and a really nice stereo into it, and listening to music in it is now a pleasure. We have also found a cheap pair of KW coilovers that we will recieve soon - so soon it will be LOW as well! Can't wait! I just love remaking cars, especially Polo's ;)

Some photos of mine/ours - Just for the purpose of entertaining ;)

High vs. Low :)

My Polo is quick  NOTE: This is KM/H - not miles/h. And I was going downhill, reached 201 on the GPS. My top speed reached on flat ground is 175km/h :)

Well, now I am really sad... My gearbox broke today. So now I wont be able to drive it in a couple of months since all my money will be spent on a trip to Gran Canaria. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out :)

One picture so you wont get to bored...

Hey Folks! It wasn't exactly yesterday I updated this thread!

Will upload some progress pics since my gearbox broke down and I got it fixed..

A quite funny picture :)

dsc00500bm.jpg

Well, here is the gearbox out, put in a bag ready for takeoff to the repair-shop :)

Enough with the boring pictures. I have a question! I am thinking of repainting my wheels and I am unsure wheter it will look good. Can't really decide. One part of me says that it looks awesome, and another part of me says it doesn't look good.

dsc0031copycopy.jpg

Will throw some pics up of my mates Polo aswell, it is getting really low :p

Here it is when we had only put the coils on in the front.

I know that it is Multiyellow :p But there is not really that much to do about it at the moment, since the only solution is to get it repainted. Costs freakin' 25 000 swedish kronors which is about 2400 pounds if i convert it. Plus it has been like this for over a year now and it's quite charming now :p

But I will in some way fix it when I can afford it, or I will buy another car. I am really standing in front of a big decision since I cannot decide wheter I want a Subaru Impreza GT, BMW 540 e39, Polo mk3 g40 or Golf vr6/GTI ... Or a Polo GTI limited edition. It's tough!

surely a good car valeter should be able to get the colour back up to standard

Stick with it, a yellow mk4 openair can't be too many around. Plus it looks good.

I'm not sure, since the problem is that there is a lot of clear coat missing. In several places. Have also spoken to several paintshops and they all say that the only thing to do is to repaint it :(

In Sweden there are actually :) You see at least one each day :p

Cool ride man! Leave the wheels alone!!!! Where can I get one of these tow (?) stickers?

Gotta be the only one on here.

Looks so right, dont put green wheels on imo, silver suits it so well 8-)

Thanks! Yeah, as for right now, they will probably just get a little polish and something like that. They are starting to look worn down :(

It says "Low" on the sticker, in Swedish. And I bought it from a swedish website called www.tyskstuk.de :)

Gotta be the only one on here.

Would be fun if that's the truth. But there is one project with a guy painting his one yellow :)

The fun thing is that it is a fabric color in Sweden and you could even get it with color concept. That is what my friend has!

Got some seats like that from another friend who scrapped his, but they had been standing outside for too long. Could not save them :(

Will probably keep them silver, and just give them a little polish.

Nope, tried everything. There was mould and stuff on them. Then they didn't quite fit :/ I would have ended up welding them to my old seat frame :p

RIGHT! That is a big fu**ing load of money! But if everything goes as planned, a friend of mine will get a "painting room"(not sure of the word :S) in the new garage his firm is moving to, then I will only have to pay for the materials we need - such as color and the sandpaper and stuff.

Might be gettin myself some then !

How are they utilised ? On the same switch as the front windscreen wash wipe ?

Is the washer bottle different to the one on standard 16v's ? Does it have an extra motor attached to it ?

Haha, could be a fun experiment. As far as I know it is the same switch as the fron windscreen wipers yes, and there is only one tank of water so it comes from the same tank. I am not sure, but as far as I know, there is only one engine ...

Here is a bad Picture:

Guess I could go out and check :)

Cool. Let us know what you find ;)

Could you possibly trace the tube to see if there is only one feed coming off the washer bottle ?

Cool! It's quite funny though. You want the headlight-washers, and here in Sweden we want to get rid of them :p

Will go down now, and check out how it is with the engines and all that! Be back with the answer in a couple of minutes :)
