Hey guys just asking what insurance you peeps are with I'm 17 its my first car and its a 97 polo 1.4L and the cheapest quote i had is £2000 bit pricy lol i am looking to go fully comp to build my no claims bonus. I have no mods ....

i'm with hastings now and it was the cheapest for me by a long way,but i started off with quinn,then more than and they were all pretty good.maybe it's worth gettin a 1 litre for your 1st year,that's what i did until you've got some no claims :) shit for boys though,always tons more.

I wouldn't go fully comp on your first car for 2 reasons.

1. It will be triple the value of your car and you'll only get a bag of sweeties back if you write the car off.

2. You can still build up no claims with a TPFT policy I believe.

A de-badged grill is a modification.

I rang direct line to see what modifications I was aloud, and they said they won't insure anybody between 17 and 25 who has any modifications. And they said that even changing your headunit in the car counts as modifying it.

They said that anybody with any mods (even changing your headunit), wouldn't be covered in the event of an accident.

1.4 6n = fail on insurance mine was over 2k also , go for something classic or a 1.0

ok i found a goo deal guys with endsliegh I'm paying £1200 for 1.4 polo thatsjust for 6 months but afterthe 6months i get one years NCB then can do another 6 months until i leave college.. sound good?
