As title suggests -I'm looking to get some new discs and brakes for my gti. I have been looking at EBC vented discs and greenstuff pads, just wanted to know if anyones running these and if they are any good?

Gti standard brakes aren't the best so i want to upgrade them asap!!!!!!

heard alot of good comments with the black diamond products, but dont use myself tho !

maybe worth a g60 280mm upgrade ??

Yeh i was looking at them, they seem to be quite good from what I've heard too - guess they would be at that price! the combi disks are about £180.

I've seen quite a few cheap sets on ebay too - not sure though :?

I would reccomend you avoid EBC Green Stuff pads worse than OE in my opinion. for a road car a really good combination is Maxtorq Group N discs with Carbone Lorraine RC5+ pads. I was going to upgrade to a G60 setup on my Lupo GTi before trying this setup but they've made it so good I'm not going to anymore...

If the Carbone lorraine pads are too expensive the Mintex M1144 pads are a good alternative

Never heard of any of the above mate!!! lol how much are the Carbone Lorraine pads looking to set me back then?
