g40 engine parts (py)

Featured Replies

Looks like I will have a complete g40 engine for sale soon. One of the pistons melted, causing scoring to the bore. Needs either re borring to a larger diameter piston or needs to be sleaved (£100 to be sleaved + cost of a new piston). The head has a schrick g40 cam, 3 angle valve seats etc... there are slight cracks in the head between one inlet valve and the spark plug, and 4 of the exhaust valves and the spark plug. The crank is in very good condition, as well as the 4 conrods and 3 remaining pistons.

Also have g40 exhaust manifold, inlet manifold, a set of either g40 or g60 injectors (depending on what I decide to use).

Also, what is a rough price on a standard charger, un abused etc...

If anybody is after any parts then please get in touch via pm or leave a message here and next time I check ill reply to you Smiley

I will take photos to show exactly the damage to the engine, and can get photos of everything else if needed.

one on ebay has been serviced though!

I will go and check the charger tomorrow and get the opinion of a mechanic as to the condition of it. I understand that the one on ebay has been marked with its last service - 2004, how often should they be serviced? it might be due a service. I only ask as if it would make sense keeping the charger as a spare or to sell it on.

I'm after an engine loom and ECU. PM me with a price if you have them to sell.

one on ebay has been serviced though!

Where did you read that...this is what i read.

"The charger was bought by myself as part of a spares package for my car so

i do not know the current internal condition. I would recomend the charger is serviced by

Jabba Sport or G-werks prior to fitting to the car.

Due to the unknown condition of the charger I'm selling the charger as spares or repair only."

rebuilt once gives a slightly better indication than not rebuilt at all.

however... who knows until its cracked open

The charger has been serviced, which I did not know about. It has Jabba Sport markings - JS 362 S4, rebuilt on the 02-02-01. So it is a stage 4 ported charger with a full rebuild. The engine had 78k on it when it was taken from the car.

If you are interested, give me pm and ill reply asap

pictures soon

Cheers

Block and supercharger have gone!

  • Author

pending payment, the head, inlet, injectors and cam are sold

Do you have the parts that mount the supercharger to the block? I think it's the offside engine mount and bracket that bolts between charger and the manifold i need.

  • Author

yes, got these wiggy, ill get some photos to make sure its the same as what you need.

Excellent, cheers. Will probably need all associated nuts/bolts too if they're available.

how much for the crank and 4 conrods????? posted????

and what profile is the Cam?? and how much for that as well dude.

The crank went with the bottom end, which is now with Jez. I'm sure he'd be willing to sell it on to you.

The conrods are here still, and would come with 4 pistons, 3 of which are fine, one needs replacing (Because I cant remove the pins)

I'll pm you with a price.

What sort of price would you like for the mounts i need?

  • Author

I wiggy, haven't been able to find the mount yet as I haven't had any free time to look. I hope to be able to spare an hour tomorrow to sort it out!

Presumably no loom or ecu then?

  • Author

I will be getting the rest of the parts left over on tuesday and ill see that the bracket is there for you wiggy.
