well guys i am super happy atm as for my 1987 volvo 340 gl 1.4 i was paying £354.96.... a month but now i done another quote 7 months later with my mum and now (drumroll please) I'm only gonna pay £101.06 a month so from just under £4000 down to £1100

the main will be my mukm and i will be the additional but did put that she has another car and i dont lool

Is there something about if your mum is driving another car and you are driving the Volvo you are automatically un-insured because she can't possibly be the main driver.

I don't think that's quite right but I'm sure I remember a discussion a long these lines. I'm sure someone can clarify.

My dad has been main driver on my car for every quote I've had. I'm now coming up to my 4th qote of insurance in a couple of months and I'm 20 in 4 days.

17 3points and my insurance is 1800 but that is only because i have a years no claims from my moped.. all other qoutes were around £3K+

Yeah being on a parents policy is awesome. Just make sure you register your car in your mums name and you are safe as houses. There is no way an insurance company can (or is even allowed to) log who uses the car and when. Nor will it be in your policy a specific amount your mum has to use the car to be classed as the main driver.
