Got a 6N2. Getting a GTI splitter.

I fancied trying something different but really not sure what it'd look like.

Namely colour coding the splitter and then smoothing it into the bumper like a lip...

I was thinking - this must have been done at some point already?! Wondered if anyone knew if it looked good or not and also even better, if anyone had a piccy?

Mine's colour coded.. but not smoothed into the bumper..

It has been done before, but has been done on a fully smoothed 6N2 front bumper with no grills whatsoever.

^^ yeah that's too smoothed for me, it looks wierd. I reckon it looks good that there's a break between the bumper and splitter though. They look good colour coded.

Ahh nah I wasnt considering vents etc. - only the splitter into the aero itself. It's gonna be that, standard colour coding, or leaving it black.

You won't really be able to smooth it without painting it, would be pointless to smooth it in and not spray it bodycoloured.

I personally wouldn't as you need the break up and the line if I'm being honest. I prefer them to be black.

Also, if you smoothed it, you would have to be very careful not to scrape it and hit it when you lower your car as you will crack the plastic welding and filler.

Ah epic point on the lowering front..

And yeah smoothing it in would have included colourin it silver aswell.

It's gonna be low as shit and I'm taking 3 other guys to sixth form so i guess i don't wanna be paranoid about a one-off lip that i could damage.

Gonna be colour-coding or standard black then i guess!
