Ok, I have a C reg MK2 golf for sale which is a non-runner due to the fact the carb leaked onto my manifold and caught on fire.

The damage from the fire is that all the loom needs replacing and most probably the 1.3 engine that is already in it, to be re-placed with a nice big engine of your choice.

So basically, i have the the whole car *which is mint, completely straight and perfect black, non sun roof version early mk2, with a no go engine and no go electrics.

I spent a lot of time and money on this car, and comes with service history and it only had 60,000 miles.

The car comes with Technix Coilovers, and the wheels if you want them aswell for an extra bit of money.

(i will get pictures of the engine bay and the bonnet *the affected bit of the car* if interest builds*.

i am looking for a mk2 so i can stick another engine in and seeing your car was like a message from above and the price at £600 is something i am looking to spend... I'm just hoping i can find a garage to store the car, if i can i will take that off your hands ASAP.

could you post up pictures of the bay please so i can sit and think about the investment??

Hey there dude, sorry for the delay with the response.

The only other thing affected apart from the engine bay is the bonnet, where paint has peeled off. window washers were melted, but you would replace everything i think.

Car will come on coilovers for £650 as i have had another friend interested in it, i shall get pictures of the car and the engine bay asap!

Ok here are some pictures of the car i have just got. It is still dirty from all the CO2 that was sprayed on it and haven't washed since. shell is straight with no dents, but little blemishes probably 1 or 2. not major at all.

top of carb, (loads of melted plastic)...

tops of barrels are melted and some connectors...

over vies with little bit of surface rust, plastic tray is meant to be there, but melted...

top mounts melted slightly, and brake fluid that caught on fire...

loom...

dirty bonnet with paint that peeled off because of the heat...

unclean interior, when clean looks immaculate, note worn doorcards...

2 front seats are mint no wear or anything, fully work (back and forth)

Rear seats, absolutely perfect, just a little unstitched next to drivers side rear window...

Boot and rear view, car is immaculate, (parcel shelf is absolutly mint condition comes with spare wheel, and has ORIGINAL unused mud flaps from 1984...

Rear view... NOTE: number plate last 2 digits... VW.

This car when cleaned is unreal, as you can see by the pictures in the original post. I shall clean it if anyone wants me to if they want to buy it, it might just need a new head, just i haven't got the money to carry it on, although i would love to, i really do love this car.
