What are people's opinion on oversized wheel trims?

16's are also gay lol.

but you want to make your car look like its got 16" wheels on it? :?

By getting hubcaps I don't ave to go higher, and I won't have any scrubbing issues. Getting 16's will mean I have to run the actual car 3 inches higher.

Also, as said before, was just a temp measure which would've cost 20 quid, I don't wanna go round buying more wheels when my alloys are on the way!

OMG!!! 3 INCHES. NOOOOOOOO!!

It would only actually run 1.5" higher with the same profile, since wheels are round, and half of the extra size in above the center line, and half is below ;)

Ikea sell huge stainless dishes that look like moondiscs. Get a bracket welded onto them to hold them tight and central, they'll be sweet.

If one comes off, well sure it could chop someone in half, but it should be fine.

Ooooh, sweet idea! When you say moondiscs, do you mean those flat stainless trims, or more dished, like beetle caps? Cause i do quite want some flat discs as a cheap winter wheel

Curved, but not dished. Like erm.. a spoon. But not that curved.

Could be weighty though, and they'd eat through the tyrewall if running bigger than the wheel.
