Basically what he wants to do is put such a dim light in the fog lens that it won't dazzle people, but it won't matter. My old citroen zx fogs were soooo dim I couldn't tell they were on and yet I still got pulled and fined!

guna put a 20 what bulb off a seprate switch tomorow and keep the standard fogs in aswell for country lanes and fog

but thats what I'm trying to say to him, even if he does put a dimmer bulb in there the lens covers arent designed to be used with such a low wattage bulb hence you probably wont see them. Which will then defeate the purpose for the reason he wants them on in the first place.

you go do that let us know if it works and you get pulled or not.

Lol at him saying he's keeping them for fog as the last reason he gave.

They don't call em fag lights for no reason.

I believe they are road legal and they were mentioned in page 2

so whats the difrence between having them and having the same p[ower bulbs in my fogs ?

For starters you wont be able to fit that many led bulbs into your fog lights whilst still keeping the function of your fog lights and if you have one or two led's in your fog light you just wont see them as they wont be bright enough.

so leds are legal bulbs arnt ?

Is this still going on?

usually modifications such as those cruising lights and strobes are illegal and clearly will state for show use only but i mean you still find people using them on the road, just depends on whether you want to run the risk. Having a look at the description on the halfrauds website though of those cruising lights and customer reviews, nowhere does it say that they are not for road use and customers haven't had any trouble with the plod so dont see why they wouldnt be road legal. Get down to your local halfords and take a look at the packaging see what it instructs.

And if the police let you go, look out for bikers with astigmatism. I'd never do such a thing, but you way end up with a boot through them if you make someone's vision go streaky just to make your car look good.
